Universal Remote Controls

Look Familiar???

With new technology for your home entertainment system comes a new remote, to add to the rest of the pile. Our company motto is "Simplifying Home Entertainment" and the universal remote control is a key to our success.

A single remote alone is confusing enough to operate a single device. Each manufacturer lays the buttons out differently and has a different name for the same function. Is is TV input, or source? Menu or setup? plus all of the features available on each and every device.

When Clear Technologies is on the scene we make sure all of your components are connected properly, and configured to maximize the picture and sound quality of your devices. We also want to leave you with one easy to use remote control in your hand that you do not need to take notes on how to use. We want everyone in your family to be able to enjoy home entertainment and technology without fear being able to pickup that remote and enjoy.

There are many remotes on the market to choose from, and while each has probably won an award from someone for its sytle and functionality, we have chosen our favorites for consistency, and ease of use. Lets clear the cluter, and reduce the frustration of using multiple remotes to operate your system, by having us install the universal remote control thats right for your family.

Universal Remote Control MX-450

The Universal Remote Control MX-450

With a strong demand for lower priced system controllers the URC MX-450 provides full system control without spending a fortune. This remote is very robust and is our most popular solution for controlling systems with a TV, cable box, DVD player, and a device or two. It features a strong price point and low labor costs for setup, without giving up key features that were previously missing like a color screen, RF control for hidden components, and flexibility in setting up the system or changing devices.

Narrow Band Radio Frequency (RF)

The RF capability also eliminates the need to point the remote at whatever it’s activating, or even remain in the line of sight of any equipment. It can control components up to 100 feet away from locations throughout a home, even components concealed in cabinets or behind doors. (RF receiver required)

Universal Remote Control MX-880

The Universal Remote Control MX-880

Stylish and state-of-the-art, the MX-880 provides Home Theater owners with dedicated, custom control over single-room Home Theaters or AV entertainment systems. It’s an ideal remote for single-room Home Theater systems, as well as homes with multiple AV systems and more than one remote control, as each MX-880 remains dedicated to a single room’s equipment, complete with a user-changeable label identifying the room.

Narrow Band Radio Frequency (RF)

The RF capability also eliminates the need to point the remote at whatever it’s activating, or even remain in the line of sight of any equipment. It can control components up to 100 feet away from locations throughout a home, even components concealed in cabinets or behind doors.

Color & Graphics

The MX-880 can also be customized with a broad array of graphic “themes,” including one-of-a-kind graphics provided by the remote’s owner. Installers can ask the remote for Help at any point in the process, and be guided to an answer through an intelligent, context-sensitive response process.

Once programmed, the MX-880’s color screen labels the six adjacent buttons with whatever functions are needed at the moment. The labels for the buttons change based on what the user is watching or listening to. If a user selects “Watching TV,” he or she will see a list of buttons useful for watching TV. If a user selects “DVD,” the buttons will control the DVD player.
